We love a great coffee and our favourite local cafe is the Burford outpost of Lynwood & Co, where our owner Fergus likes nothing better than a flat white and a catch up with cafe owner Rob.
You will find plenty of antiques for sale at Burford Antiques Centre, Bygones of Burford and Antiques at the George. Or if art is more your thing then choose between the Wren Gallery and the renowned Brian Sinfield Gallery.
Burford Garden Co is so much more than just a garden centre, simply brimming with wonderful indoor and outdoor plants alongside a fantastic selection of art and homewares – all perfect for kitting out your new rented home!
A perfect lazy Sunday afternoon spot is The Cotswolds Arms, serving a great selection of locally brewed beer, ale and cider. And on a summer’s day the walled garden and sun terrace at The Angel is the go to destination for a chilled glass of wine. If you plan to stay a night or longer then The Lamb or the Bay Tree are both excellent boutique hotels, or you could Google StayCotswold for local holiday cottages!
Places to visit near Burford
There’s also plenty to do in the surrounding area. A couple of miles south of Burford, the 160 acre Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens is a must see for families. You can get up close and personal on the fabulous giraffe walk or stop off and feed the penguins.
Foodies will want to call over to nearby Moreton-in-Marsh to visit the home of Daylesford Organics. A great destination for lunch, dinner and cocktails, you can also treat yourself at the on-site shop with their home grown produce.
