Set in the heart of the idyllic Cotswold village of Wyck Rissington, this beautifully restored Grade II listed stone house offers an exceptional countryside escape. Dating back to the early 18th century, the property enjoys an enviable position overlooking the village green, with far-reaching views across the rolling Cotswold landscape.

Lovingly renovated to an exceptional standard, the house effortlessly combines centuries of character with contemporary comfort. Original features, including exposed beams, traditional fireplaces and flagstone flooring, sit alongside thoughtfully designed interiors, bespoke cabinetry and modern heating, creating a home that feels both timeless and luxurious.

Spanning three spacious floors, the property offers generous living areas designed for relaxing and spending time together. The elegant sitting room provides a welcoming place to unwind, while the formal dining room is perfect for hosting dinner parties and family gatherings. A second lounge offers additional space for entertaining or quiet evenings in.

At the heart of the home is a beautifully appointed kitchen with a large dining and family area, fully equipped for everything from leisurely breakfasts to celebratory dinners. A separate utility room and pantry add to the practicality of this exceptional home.

The house comfortably accommodates up to eight guests across four beautifully presented bedrooms, three of which benefit from their own en-suite bathrooms. The impressive top-floor suite enjoys its own private sitting room, making it an ideal retreat for guests seeking extra space and privacy. High-quality bathrooms throughout ensure comfort for every guest.

Outside, the landscaped gardens are every bit as impressive as the interiors. Mature trees, expansive lawns, colourful borders and carefully designed planting create a peaceful setting in which to relax throughout the seasons.

The heated outdoor swimming pool is a true highlight during the warmer months, accompanied by a stylish poolside cabana converted from the original stables. Complete with its own kitchenette and comfortable seating area, it's the perfect place to enjoy long summer afternoons or evening drinks by the pool.

A separate heated boot room provides plenty of space for coats, walking boots and outdoor gear after exploring the surrounding countryside.

Whether you're gathering with family, celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to experience the beauty of the Cotswolds in luxurious surroundings, this remarkable home offers an unforgettable stay in one of the region's most sought-after villages.

The garage is not included as part of the let!

Wyck Rissington is a quintessential Cotswold village, renowned for its honey-coloured stone cottages, peaceful village green and beautiful countryside setting. Surrounded by rolling hills and scenic walking routes, it offers the perfect balance of rural tranquillity while remaining close to many of the Cotswolds’ most popular destinations.

Just five minutes away, Stow-on-the-Wold is home to independent boutiques, cafés, restaurants, traditional pubs and everyday essentials, including a Tesco supermarket and Co-op. Bourton-on-the-Water, often known as the “Venice of the Cotswolds”, is around 10 minutes away, offering riverside walks, family attractions, shops and tearooms. The picturesque villages of Lower Slaughter, Upper Slaughter, Kingham and Broadwell are also within easy reach.

The area is ideal for walkers and cyclists, with countless footpaths, quiet country lanes and spectacular countryside to explore. Food lovers are equally well catered for, with excellent pubs and restaurants nearby, including The Wild Rabbit at Kingham and Daylesford Organic Farm Shop, both favourites for dining, shopping and seasonal produce.

For longer stays, supermarkets including Tesco, Aldi, Co-op and Marks & Spencer Food can be found in nearby Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh and Chipping Norton. Moreton-in-Marsh railway station, approximately 15 minutes away, provides direct services to London Paddington, while Kingham Station also offers regular connections to Oxford and London.

Families will find a selection of well-regarded schools within the surrounding area, including The Cotswold School in Bourton-on-the-Water, Kitebrook Preparatory School and several highly regarded independent schools.

Whether you’re planning a relaxing countryside retreat or exploring the wider Cotswolds, Wyck Rissington is perfectly placed to enjoy everything this beautiful region has to offer.
