Cotswold Life

The Cotswold is arguably one of the most romantic destinations in the UK so it is no surprise that we are seeing individuals, couples and families relocating to the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and falling in love with the Cotswold countryside.

Whether you’re being whisked away for the weekend or a local romantic looking forward to the sweet celebration, which happens every year on February 14th, we have selected a few of our favourite adventures which you can enjoy with the ones you adore for an enchanting day out in the Cotswolds we know you’ll love!

Enjoy a blissful spa day

Seeking relaxation this Valentine’s Day in the Cotswolds? Then you’ll be delighted to know there is a wealth of spas which you can book, with treatments and packages tailored just to you. Cocoon yourself in loveliness as the Thyme in Lechlade, Cowley Manor nr Cheltenham, The Lygon Arms in Broadway, Cotswold House Hotel & Spa in Chipping Campden and Barnsley House.

A romantic dinner for two

One of the most obvious things to do on Valentine’s Day in the Cotswolds is going out for a fancy meal. With plenty of restaurants to choose from we know that it can often be hard to find the perfect one, so we’ve narrowed down two of the best just for you.

Ellenborough Park offers some truly exquisite food that’s inspired by its proud heritage and the countryside that surrounds it. Showcasing fresher-than-fresh produce and the very best flavours of each season, you’re in for a real treat.

Located in the heart of the Cotswolds, The Wild Rabbit is a modern British Inn that’s perfect for a cosy Valentine’s dinner. Its award-winning kitchen uses only the finest seasonal ingredients to create a mouth-watering menu that celebrates traditional British cuisine.

Unique Adventures

If you’re looking to create magical memories in the Cotswolds, then why not step out of your comfort zone and try something completely new?

From the rolling countryside to picturesque woodlands and historic towns, the Cotswold Hot Air Balloon Experience will stay with you forever. The Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty truly earns it name and is best appreciated from the skies. Share a bubble of fizz amongst the clouds and immerse yourself within the Cotswold landscape.

Gin and whiskey lovers rejoice with a tour of the Cotswold Distillery. Spend part of your Valentine’s Day at either a Gin Blending masterclass or a Whiskey Blending masterclass and learn from the experts. Discover how a good gin or whiskey is made and have the chance of creating your own.

Enjoy your own tasty creations at The Cotswolds Baking Workshop, where this February they are offering classes such as ‘Afternoon Tea Treats’, ‘Marvelous Macarons’ and ‘Italian Baking’. Whether you’re a baking whizz or new to the kitchen, these classes are full of fun as well as delicious. Their location at the edge of the beautiful Cotswolds gives us unique access to local producers and delicious ingredients to use while you learn in-person, online, or one-to-one with the founder, Susie.
